Food and Cuisine

1.)  While looking at the way that meals are prepared in New Zealand it is explained how they do not use things that are pre-made.  This seems like a shock because most things that are used for making meals in the United States is something that is pre-made from a box.  Most people do not make things from scratch in America because we are so headstrong for working that we do not stay home all day to make a meal.  Kiwi's also call their dinner sometimes "tea" we do not call it that.  Originally it was called supper but now Americans call our last meal of the day "dinner."  In New Zealand the men cook the meat and then the women cook everything else and in America it is not the same.  Who ever can cook will cook dinner in America.  Also we dont usually cook from a hole in the ground like they usually do.  During the summer they also have barbeques which is something that is similiar here!

2.) I am so excited to try the food because since New Zealand and Australia are just big islands there will probably be a lot of sea food.  I love sea food because I grew up eating it because I've been going to the south coast all my life! I'm just super excited in general for this trip! I can't wait to try new things either!
